How can I pay for services?

This varies on a case-by-case basis as there are many ways to go about payment. Some services may be covered by the insurance you have such as Medicare or Medicaid. In other instances, they may be covered by workers’ compensation or even Veteran benefits. Also, services can be paid for directly which is commonly referred to as “private pay.”

To ensure you are receiving the right service at the right time and under the right benefit, it is important to be aware of all available resources. It is best to familiarize yourself with your personal health insurance plan regarding long-term care, Medicare, and their payouts. If your care services are in excess of what your coverage allows, you have the option of paying the difference out of pocket.

“I had a need for home healthcare in the Fayetteville area for a friend, but I live in Charlotte. I did not know who to call so I called Sentinel. They do not operate in Fayetteville, but they made some phone calls and gave a recommendation to an in-home health company that could help. I am very thankful for their willingness to use their expertise to find a good resource for my friend.”
